1-2-1 Meno Make-Over Programme

Life happens so quickly, it’s often tricky to give ourselves the time and head-space to really think about our needs, much less to know what action to take – that’s why I created this 1-2-1 Meno Make-Over programme !  I’d love to help you figure out what’s best for you now! Not yesterday, or 10 years ago! And, get you back on track to feeling like you’re thriving, rather than just surviving!  

So this programme is for you, if you’re at the stage where you’re starting to notice changes, for example: in your skin, your sleep, your mental health and your energy or your weight, so you can be peri-prepared and have the tools and support you need to live the life you truly desire.

How it works:

We start by having a 30 minute chat about what’s going on for you now,  how you are feeling and what you’d like to achieve.  I’ll explain a bit more about how I work and how we can progress, aswering any of your questions as we go!

Following the completion of a detailed pre-consultation questionnaire, I review your answers and comments to create a personalised peri-menopause wellbeing and face yoga plan, including tailored information about nutrition, mindset, hormone health and more, to really help you reach your goals.  

I’ll then book you in for a 1-2-1 video consultation where I walk you through your personalised plan step-by-step, answering any questions and explaining why I am making the recommendations I share with you.  We’ll go through what’s currently working for you and what’s not, including products, nutrition, gut health, supplements, stress effects and more!  

We’ll then spend the remainder of our time on your Face Yoga plan, where I’ll teach you the specifically selected exercises and techniques that are going to help you the most.  You’ll also receive a downloadable recording of the practice too, which is easy to access on your phone, to really help you stay on track with your practice!

After 2-4 weeks, we’ll have a comprehensive follow up video consultation to review your progress and make any necessary tweaks.  

I am on hand throughout the entire process to support you either via whatsapp, messenger, or however you prefer to chat!  You can send me photos, questions or use the space for motivation or accountability – I am here with you every step of the way!

Why work with me?

Hi there, I’m Carolyn!  If we haven’t met before I am the founder of Qetello Menopause, Skin health and Face Yoga! 

Qetello is all about educating, inspiring and empowering women to view their menopausal health from a wider perspective that includes, skin health, hormonal health, mental health, nutrition, lifestyle and product choices. (Please note, I am completely impartial and not affiliated with any skincare or nutrition brands!) I have chronic skin health problems, allergies and a history of ME – which is proving to be an interesting combination, as I navigate through my own peri-menopause journey!

I am mum to Hector and wife to Adam!  Before setting off into the sunset on our sailing boat headed for Italy (10 years ago!) I was UK based, working within the maritime industry on anti-maritime piracy operations, as a civilian with the Royal Navy.  We’re now based in Malta!

My peri-menopause journey started when I was 38 and my son was just turning two – it was quite a shock but explained so much!  As someone who has severe eczema and a history of chronic fatigue syndrome, I wanted to find ways to manage my symptoms as naturally as possible – the more I learned the more I felt drawn to share my knowledge and experience to help others, so trained to become a Menopause Wellness Practitioner in 2023.

Having fallen in love with Face Yoga, I trained to be a teacher with the world leading Face Yoga Expert Danielle Collins and have been teaching since 2019.    I love to study and learn as much as I can about skin health and wellbeing to be able to provide the best solutions to serve my clients and their needs.  You’ll often find me down a rabbit warren of research papers, courses and workshops!  I’m also an accredited Holistic Therapist with the International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine.

With the knowledge and confidence I now have , I am empowered to take responsibility for my own health and wellbeing. I don’t want to be fobbed off with short-term solutions, or get sucked into relying on products that I don’t necessary need!  Understanding how to take a holistic approach to my health and wellbeing has literally changed my life!

Wanting to understand exactly how the conditions I have affect my body and how I could help myself, I’ve taken an array courses in:  Dermatology, food as medicine, inflammatory diseases, autoimmune conditions and holistic therapies to educate myself on how my diet, sleep, gut health, lifestyle and mental health all impact my overall wellbeing.  

I also started to investigate the ingredients in products too!  I wanted to understand the impact they could have on not just my skin, but my internal body too, as many products contain known carcengenic and hormone disrupting ingredients, not to mention being a disaster for the environment!
 
My research and learning has led me to choosing more natural plant based products, that are non-toxic to the body, environmentally sustainable and highly effective; combined with good quality microbiome support, a diet that suits my body, improved stress management and a more holistic approach to my whole life!
 
All of which has resulted in limiting flare ups and massively reducing my dependency on presecription steroids.  As there’s no cure for eczema and very little clinical research, it’s all about understanding my body’s needs and managing the condition on a daily basis.
 

Like many women, I wear a lot of hats and life can get overwhelming at times, but having a simple sustainable toolkit you can draw on, can make the biggest difference to make your menopause work for you!
